Restore iOS 7.0.6 or 7.0.4 or 6.1.3 From iOS 7.1 Using iPhone

Finally, Apple took a harder step to stop signing older firmware such as iOS 7.0.6, 7.0.4, 6.1.3. It means, you can’t downgrade 7.1 and restore 7.0.6 or 7.0.4 once you have upgraded to iOS 7.1. However, iPhone 4 users exception from this restriction. iPhone 4 user can downgrade iOS 7.1 and restore 7.0.4 or any other older firmware, if they have saved SHSH blobs.

Unfortunately, iPad Mini, iPad Air, iPhone 5S and iPod Touch users can’t restore 7.0.6 or 7.0.4 from iOS 7.1. Then why only iPhone 4 users can restore iOS 7.0.6 or any older firmware? Actually, iPhone 4 is A4 iDevice and there is a bug in this chip that removes Apple’s restriction and firmware signing doesn’t apply on iPhone 4.

How to Restore iOS 7.0.6 / 7.0.4 / 6.1.3 From 7.1

Suppose, you have iPhone 4 and you wanna downgrade iOS 7.1.1, 7.1.2 or 7.1.3, you need to restore 7.0.6 or any older firmware. To do so, you need following things…

  1. Saved SHSH Blobs (If you wanna restore iOS 7.0.6, you need 7.0.6 SHSH blobs or iOS 6.1.3 blobs, if you wanna restore 6.1.3)
  2. Download iFaith latest version that supports iOS 7.0.6 or 7.0.4
  3. iTunes latest version

How to Restore 7.0.6, 7.0.4 without Losing Your Jailbreak

Suppose, you are facing any boot loop error that is forcing you to upgrade iOS 7.1 or any other new firmware, then only restore iOS 7.0.4 Or 7.0.6 using Semi Restore iOS 7 software without losing jailbreak.

    Can someone help? i want to restore because i can’t connect my iPad to
    any computers; and it’s not the cable or Computer, i’ve tested on
    multiple computers. The only way my computer can connect to any
    computers is by DFU Mode and i don’t know any restore ways like this
    that i can do in DFU mode, any help is appreciated. Thanks

      yea yea! a thief never says i stole and never feels guilty so nothing
      new bro! but really if you did steal it its not worth it being called a
      thief only to have an “iPhone”. On the other hand if you bought it from
      someone who’s stolen it or locked it before selling it then you can
      always call him or report him to the police! simple is that ;)
