How to Fix Failed to Fetch Cydia Error iOS 8.1.2 – iOS 8.1.1 | iOS 8.1.2 Jailbreak

iOS 8.1.2 jailbreak users constantly getting annoying Cydia errors called “Failed to Fetch“, “GPS Error” and “Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead”. But, if you have jailbroken your iOS 8.1.1 using evasi0n 7.1, you can easily fix this error within a minute.

There might be some non-exist sources listed in your iOS 8.1.2 Cydia source list that are causing GPS, Failed to fetch and file failed errors. The evasi0n 7.1 has been updated, but Cydia is not getting updates too frequently. However, you can do some tweaks with the sources to fix errors.

If you are getting failed to fetch or GPS notice screen, then surely you have some missing repos listed in your source list. You must remove those repos from your source list in order to fix the error.


1 Launch Cydia application and look for “Manage” button. Now, tap on “Sources” and then “Edit”.

2 Now, look for “Dev Team” in the source list. (This is the source that might causing Failed to fetch, GPS errors).


3 You will have to remove “Dev Team” in order to check that you error is fixed or not. Tap on minus icon to remove it.

4 Once you have removed “Dev Team”, close your Cydia app and restart it.

Most probably above listed errors should be fixed.

    This is an ultrasn0w error, try to remove dev team repo and add ultrasn0w instead, this has fixed my issue on iPad mini 2 iOS 8.1.1.2 jailbreak

    I successfully removed and fixed failed to fetch error from my iPad air and not it has been fixed, but another error has been occured.
    When i restart Cydia and try to add that repo again “Did not find Repository” error.
    how to fix Did not find repository error now?
    I have successfully added a few more new iOS sources, but the dev team gives me error
    i’ve iphone 5s and ipad air iOS 8.1.1.2.1 and both have same issue
